Most of these you will probably know, but perhaps you might find a new hint that could help give you a healthier mouth…
1. Rinse but don’t spit after brushing – let the fluoride do its work!
2. Sing a ‘brush along’ song to children to ensure they’re cleaning their teeth for the correct amount of time. Something catchy that lasts around two minutes. YouTube has some great ideas, or take a look at this App (click here).
3. Try to eat sugary foods with a meal rather than as a snack. This will reduce the times your teeth come under attack from damaging acids.
4. Your dentist should carry out a visual cancer check as part of each routine visit. Ask if not – it’s quick, easy and pain free.
5. Clean between your teeth – it doesn’t take long. We like these “clean between” brushes by Wisdom (click here). Try it for 14 consecutive days and it will become a habit – I promise!
