The Oral Health Foundation is raising awareness about the importance of oral health issues with their ‘Brush for better health’ campaign, running from 15th May to 15th June.
National Smile Month is a charity campaign that champions the benefits of having good oral health and promoting the value of a healthy smile.
The campaign is encouraging everyone to share four important oral health messages aimed at reaching parts of our community where oral disease is far too common:
• Brush your teeth for two minutes, last thing at night and one other time during the day, with a fluoride toothpaste
• Clean between your teeth every day
• Cut down how much and how often you have sugary foods and drinks
• Visit a dentist regularly
How you can support the campaign
There are some fun and interesting ways you can be involved, including the Great British Brushathon taking place on 15th May and Smiley Selfies – take a selfie of your smile to show your support for improving awareness of good oral health. Here you can see three of our team doing just that!
No matter how you decide to support the campaign, please make sure you help us communicate the four key oral health messages.
Here at Coppice View, we support the Oral Heath Foundation’s vision that everybody deserves a healthy smile.
