At Coppice View Dental Care, we are committed to providing safe, respectful and compassionate care for every patient.
We understand that some patients may feel more comfortable having another trained member of our team present during certain examinations, treatments or clinical photography. For this reason, we are happy to offer a chaperone whenever appropriate or upon request.
A chaperone is a trained member of the dental team who helps to support patient dignity, comfort and wellbeing while maintaining professional standards of care.
You may request a chaperone at any stage of your appointment. Equally, if a clinician believes that a chaperone would be appropriate for your comfort, safeguarding or professional protection, this will be discussed with you beforehand.
Our patients have the right to:
- Request a chaperone for any appointment
- Decline the offer of a chaperone
- Be treated with dignity, privacy and respect at all times
Where appropriate, our dental nurses will usually fulfil the role of chaperone, although another suitably trained member of the team may also undertake this role.
If you have any questions about our Chaperone Policy, please speak to a member of our team before your appointment.
