Well done to our team of adventurers who successfully navigated the Yorkshire Warrior course at Ripley Castle. We had a great day (perhaps apart from the water/mud-baths) and are already looking forward to the next one! The day involved running a 10km course interspersed with obstacles, some more unpleasant than others, and we certainly learned a little more about each other on the way round!! We try to be a fairly active and healthy bunch here at Coppice View. Last year was the year of triathlons, and who knows there may be a few more of them on the way, but this year we wanted to try something different with a little more emphasis on the team. After a few false starts, we managed to muster a team of five (illness and other commitments meant losing a further three), and we had a great day. There were a few darker moments, mainly revolving around shoulder-deep mud/sludge, but we were delighted to make it round together and still smiling.
As healthcare professionals, we’re keen to demonstrate our values to others, especially our clients who look to us for advice on healthier living. We firmly believe that by leading the way we can inspire others to get out and do more, to push themselves a little further and take on physical challenges they’ve never tried before. We’re not super-fit, but we love to keep active, and we’d recommend to all of you to get out and try something new this year too!
